How can I Use the Chatbot feature?
What is the Chatbot?
In general, a chatbot is an artificial intelligence (AI) feature that simulates human conversations. It enables communication through voice commands, text chats or both.
Here at Ling, we are proud to also have our own Chatbot! You can use this feature to practice a real conversation with our Ling Bot by saying the sentence or choosing the sentence you prefer. You can use this feature on both our app and website, Ling web.
- For the app, tap the "Chatbot" button at the bottom of the screen.
- For the website, click on the "Chatbot" button at the top left-hand corner of the page.
There are 20 topics available in the app and on the web, and we also have sentences and a microphone button in each lesson to use in the conversation. You can either choose one of the given sentences or say one of the given sentences to have a conversation with our Ling Bot.
However, since iOS and Android devices support the chatbot differently in some languages, this can be the reason why some languages have a microphone button, and some don't. If you want to say a sentence instead of selecting them in a language that isn't supported on your device, you can try on our website, Ling web.
Here's how to use our chatbot feature:
- Open the app and tap the "Chatbot" button at the bottom of the screen.
- Choose the lesson topic that you'd like to practice.
- Choose a sentence from the list and tap "Send" to continue the conversation.
- You can also record your voice by tapping the "record" button (This button will appear depending on the language you learn and whether that language is supported on your device or not)
- You can turn the translation button on/off to practice the conversation.
